08:18 AM ET 05.10 | Even if he needs some more time developing, 6-foot-6, 254-pound Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas offers some tantalizing skills. There simply aren't many athletes around that possess his size, strength, quickness and ability to spin the football. He showcases the ability to gash defenses with his legs, keep plays alive in the pocket and create down the field because of his impressive vertical touch. ... [The] guy has the ability to stress a defenses from a number of ways much like Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton and if he can continue show improvement as a passer this year, it wouldn't shock me at all if he ends up being the draft's number one overall pick come April 2013.

QUOTE(#15):

Saw this on bleacher report, no, I am not saying anything by it, just passing it on Sir:Alabama and LSU will both enter the autumn with vastly different rosters from the ones that took the field during the BCS National Championship Game in January, though the Tigers figure to be in even bigger trouble than their SEC West rivals.Les Miles bade farewell to a slew of stars on both sides of the ball???most notably, Morris Claiborne, Michael Brockers and Rueben Randle???from a squad with which the Crimson Tide mopped the turf at the Superdome. The biggest concern, though, rests under center, where the Tigers are untenably thin after losing Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee to graduation and star recruit Gunner Kiel to Notre Dame.As such, it'll be "Zach Mettenberger or Bust" in Baton Rouge this season, and if the Georgia transfer doesn't pan out...

Bleacher report = less than stellar reporting

Soooo, since they're comparing this kid to $cam, does that mean Tebow is no longer the gold standard for CFB QBs?
