08:27 AM ET 05.11 | The eight years Ilya Bryzgalov has remaining in Philadelphia all of a sudden feel a lot longer. Bryzgalov refused to talk to reporters during the team's postseason media day Thursday, but he candidly told a Russian newspaper he was fed up with the scrutiny he was under during his first year with the club. "What I lived through this season I wouldn't wish to an enemy," he said to reporter Natalia Bragilevskaya of SovSport. " ... I need to keep working. I understand the fans. They paid their money and want the show. But many forget that we are not robots, but living people. We have feelings, worries." ... "People are so concentrated on the negative that they only see the bad in me. But I think you need to be kinder to each other."

Just stop the puck.

Had you done that, you would still be in the playoffs............

He's more concerned about being liked than stopping the puck. He's soft...

He'll be seen (not by many) on Oprah and Dr. Phil soon enough. What a puss.

Sorry Bryz, no one feels bad for you. If you are looking for sympathy from ANY fan, let alone Flyers fans, you can forget it.

8 more years of this....yes (Has fingers crossed there is no amnesty clause in this years CBA)

May 11, 2012  09:04 AM ET

"...takes shot at Philly fans" Hardly qualifies taking a shot....

Imagine if he played in Montreal...or Toronto...or NYC...or Boston....

I'm not sure I have seen a bigger bone-headed play by a goalie than when Bryz shot his so-called clearing pass right into Clarkson, resulting in the winning goal.

I have seen a lot of bone-head plays (Steve Smith, etc) but I have never seen this
I saw Osgood give up a goal from behind the blue line out of laziness...I never saw anything like this.

Right on. If they'd give me a $51 million contract they could throw garbage at me, curse, boo. And I'd just smile. Moaning like this just gives the boo-birds something to keep 'em going for months. He could have 4 shutouts in a row and lose the next game 2-1 in OT and they'd be calling him a sieve. Relax, enjoy the money, play well and forget everything but your team.

Not as much sand, no Gila monsters and generally cooler. Bit more humid though!

May 11, 2012  09:17 AM ET

Yep, I'm sure everyone feels sorry for you and that hefty paycheque - always knew signing him was a big mistake; I hope he proves me wrong. BUT, this Flyer fan will be the first to admit that we didn't lose because of Bryz - NJ totally outworked the Flyers in every aspect - that's why we're out. In fact in games 2 and 3 it was Bryz that played well enough to keep it close to give us any kind of chance to win.

May 11, 2012  09:20 AM ET

Jeez. Get him the hell out of town...NOW. Preferably somewhere UNDERGROUND. Boo'ing is the least of his problems. After his comments, there might be a hit on his life. ;)

That's what I was going to say, but in a broader sense: "Be better."

Amnesty clause = KHL for Bryz.
