Sharks getting into Suter sweepstakes?

08:31 AM ET 05.11 | Ryan Suter says he'd like to spend the rest of his career on the next team with which he signs, and some wonder if the Sharks, who aren't fond of forever-long contracts, would make the pitch. [Suter has] been mentioned as a potential replacement for a pair of franchise defensemen that may have played their last games in Detroit's Nicklas Lidstrom and Philadelphia's Chris Pronger. The Red Wings and Flyers have never been teams to shy away from big contracts, either. The Minnesota Wild could also be in the mix, as Suter is from nearby Madison, Wisconsin. Could the Sharks get in the discussion? You have to think Doug Wilson will at least consider it, after promising to make changes following a first round flame-out.
