08:20 AM ET 05.12 | Washington has long coveted Peter Bourjos, but the Angels, despite a FoxSports.com report late Thursday night that they've had "preliminary discussions" with the Nationals about a deal, do not seem eager to trade the speedy center fielder. "We constantly field calls about players, but we are not actively shopping Peter Bourjos or looking for a fit for him," Angels General Manager Jerry Dipoto said. "We believe he's an asset to us." The Angels are not quite sure what to do with that asset. Bourjos, who is hitting .192, was not in the lineup Friday night for the 10th time in 12 games, having lost his job to leadoff batter Mike Trout.

He's batting the same as Albert. hahahaha

We need to keep Borjous. Keep Trout in center, move him to a corner, let him hit 8th in the order to get his confidence back up.

Halos need hitting (and a fifth starter). Trading a hitter (who is, admittedly, struggling) ain't going to catch the red-hot Rangers.

Trade him for a reliever now !

May 12, 2012  03:32 PM ET

Price is going down for Bourjos. Nats now would not trade Lannan straight up for him.

Bourjos to Washington for Lannan?

Maybe the term "The Mendoza Line" should be changed to "The Pujols Line".

bourjos, would have his own spot in the lineup, by next season, where? in tori's hunter, lets not forget, hunter will be gone by next year!!

the trade have to be a, real tough good offer in exchange's for bourjo's, if the nationals could add to the trade deal, a players like, clippard, ramos, and bernadina,,, but then again, the washington could said that that's too big of demand!!!

the only way to keep bourjos in the lineup its, to seat wells, after all vernon has being struggling just as every body in the lineup!!!

May 13, 2012  11:35 AM ET

morales, still searching for his confortability at the plate, two long years off the field, did mess up his mechanics!!!

a hitter yes, a fifth starter not really, williams had being ok so far, now lets not forget, every time williams has pitching in relieve, it has being vitimised by the opposite team, i guess if he don't play with the mentality of a starter then he easely lost control in the game!!

that was my thought before or, at the middle of april, but right now they need reliable relievers, can't give the ball to eiseruesen, or to the japanise guy, because it seems as if the oriental has lost the strikezone,

May 13, 2012  11:42 AM ET

plus the halos just trade amarista, to the padres last week, and they got a good setup man in the reliever role!!!

May 13, 2012  11:46 AM ET

yesterday, was one of the first games that, they did play with discipline and call the right moves in the bullpen for sciocia, i think the only player who wasn't usin the discipline approach was aybar, wells was at the bench, pujols appears to be turning the corner at times, he got a single, and his first walk in a long time!!!

i think, that the nationals may trade whoever the halos ask them, except strasburg, and harper, the rest could be available for that trade to take place, lets not forget, the washington has the OF in the DL for a long time!!!

lannan could fit in that trade, but the halos would likely be asking for more than a simple starter!!!
