09:13 AM ET 05.12 | While DeSean Jackson held out of training camp last summer before playing out the final year of his contract, he urged LeSean McCoy to take a different approach as he enters the last year of his deal this offseason. "I think it would be in his best interest to come" to offseason practices and camp, Jackson said Friday. "Looking back now it really hurt me more than I thought it helped me. Hopefully he saw everything I went through, and hopefully [agent] Drew [Rosenhaus] won't have him go through the same thing." Jackson, also represented by Rosenhaus, said taking his contract dispute public damaged talks with the Eagles.

Does it seem more players are taking less of the advice offered by Rosenhaus? Good for them.

Is DeSean maturing?

Lesean is going to make some big coin now that Asante was dealt. BUT if he rocks the boat, the Eagles will let him twist in the wind.

The problem with this "holdout the offseason" stuff is that it only hurts the player. If you aren't prepared to REALLY sit out the season, then sitting out the offseason only puts your regular season play in jeopardy either by injury or just not being in sync. The Eagles know he is their best player and know he wants to get paid. They don't want to lose him. Play the "good soldier" and you will be rewarded.

Or did he get "his" and now he's going to walk the company line. Funny how he was trying to 'stick it to the man' right up until the moment he got his contract and now he's everybody's wise uncle DeSean just full of advice.

Imagine DeSean Jackson giving out what seems to be good advice? Got to be a catch.

That doesn't seem to be his modus though. He's been a fool since his high school years right through college. Maybe he got a good look in the mirror.
