09:48 AM ET 05.13 | Now that the season has ended, Andre Miller is one of three free agents the Nuggets have to make decisions on this summer, the first normal NBA calendar since 2010. It's likely the Nuggets will attempt to bring him back after his at-times spectacular playoff series against the Lakers. Miller is the only unrestricted free agent on the roster, so the decision to stay or leave is solely his. "I'll keep my options open," Miller said. "At this point in my career, if I'm going to be a backup, I'm going to be a backup on a championship-caliber team. Obviously, this team is a good team that's going to get to the playoffs, but the thing is if they are committed to getting to that next level to compete for that championship."

To you Nuggets fans: Even Miller seems to have reservations about both your ability and committment to win a ring...........Let me guess.....blame it on Melo. lol!

If Miller end up with a ring somewhere, he's got an almost-HOF credential. Perhaps the most under-rated PG of this generation.

but the thing is if they are committed to getting to that next level to compete for that championship."

Translation: I'm outta here.

They made it to game 7, that's further then the knicks got. Nuggets have been bounced in the first round 8 out of the last 9 years, and that's while Melo was there. Melo also was bounced in the first round. Melo certainly isn't "Mr postseason" since he's fishing every postseason after the first weekend.

Amen...

A lot of teams could use his services. He has the right mindset and accepted that he can come off the bench. Miami, OKC, Lakers, Bulls, Are contenders that could use him as backup.

We wouldn't blame anything that happened this year on Melo. Most of us are glad to see him gone. Great skills, but a selfish player that doesn't know the word defense. I see your big NY team with Melo made it far this post season. Get used to it.

Melo makes some big plays and shots. Easily, a top 10 clutch player in the NBA. Not really a great PG in New York to run the offense and get the ball to people. That was the main problem in Gotham.

You can't tell these people that, of course not, they are hell bent on blaming Melo for everything and then pointing out he plays no defense. This same bunch will the forget to call out Stat, Novak, & Lin, all defensive Stalwarts in these people's mind. Melo plays better defense and rebound better than any of these three, in fact there's absolutely nothing these three does better than Melo. To your point about getting people the ball, if they do get the ball what are they gonna do with it? Novak has to be wide open in order to get a shot off period. This guy coundn't get a shot off for an entire series...madness, mention defense or rebounding to this guy and he'll think you're talking to someone else......same could be said about both Lin and Stat. Come people tell us exactly how much defense and rebounding these three play, come on....telll us? You got that right.........I thought so!

in fairness, i think the question is only whether this is a team that has the pieces to join the top tier. as opposed to a queston about whether it is a well run franchise.

i think the point is that if melo is a superstar then they need him to be impactful in all aspects of the game, like pierce, kobe, lbj, wade and the like.

NO MElo is not a superstar! Yes, he is a star but that's it. Your right stat don't play defense neither does Lin. The problem with MElo is that he don't play d and he don't pass the ball wen he need to. Am thankful for MElo he made the Nuggets a playoff team again and then been forcing his way to NY he got us alot back in return for him. I don't hate MElo am just glad he's not on the Nuggets anymore.
