08:06 AM ET 05.14 | The Lakers closed out Denver, and now travel a bit further east for Round 2. Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum in Game 7 became the first teammates in NBA playoff history to combine for at least 30 points, 30 rebounds, 20 offensive rebounds and 10 blocks in a game. [Steve Blake] concluded after Gasol's Game 7: "You saw the hunger." And Gasol will need to bring that intensity much earlier in this series. "Got to continue to play the same way," Gasol said. Bynum vowed to stay focused on defense first, seeing at least four blocks each game from him as a key to advancing now and later. He also offered a defense-focused declaration. "We'll win this championship," Bynum said, "if we commit to defense."

QUOTE(#7):

If the Lakers steal 1 game in OKC then they have a great shot of winning the series. The Lakers will have to deal w/ 2 Ty Lawsons in RW and Harden.

What do you think the Clippers chances of beating the Spurs is?

Really the Lakers, Bynum talking again...Really. This spells trouble for the Lake show, this guy Bynum running off at the mouth.

4-0 Spurs.....

QUOTE(#11):

No chance. The Lakers struggled with the Nuggets and OKC is light years better than the Nuggets.

NOt light years I said from the beginning that this would go at least 6 games because the Noggest match up well against them. But you you are right OKC will give them a run for their money. OKC is too quick for them, they are going to have to slow the game down and Kobe, Gasol & Bynum must play lights out the entire series if they want a chance to compete.

I agreed Jack.
What Bynum is saying might be true, but shut up and play ball. He also said it would be easy to close Denver. So the lesson here, talk is cheap.

The Fakers length inside was just too much for the Nuggets. It will be interesting to see Gasol's "hunger" and Bynum's committment to defense against a team that will run right back at them.
