08:02 AM ET 05.14 | Even if he doesn't return to Big Blue, Osi Umenyiora isn't done taunting Eagles. The Giants defensive end took a shot at rival LeSean McCoy on Twitter on Sunday, wishing Philadelphia's star running back the best on his, err, special day. "Happy Mothers Day Lesean Mccoy! Enjoy your special day!!" Umenyiora wrote on Twitter. Approximately an hour and a half after Umenyiora's 9:30 am post, McCoy appeared to respond. "Lol let the beef begin," McCoy wrote. Former Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, now with the 49ers, chimed in, too. "omg hahah," wrote Jacobs, who signed with San Francisco this offseason. "hahaha u know the beef is never over. Never," Umenyiora responded to Jacobs.

What is this ? Pre-school?

These fools need to quit or get a room.... One or the other.

Osi... You're on pace to be 45 years old in a wheel chair, tweeting "LMAO".

Morning Rob.

Can't believe this was a NYP contribution. I couldn't make much sense of it from the beginning. But when foolish Twitter rants become the basis for a football story, we're definitely in need of some old school reporters. Get the guys off all the ESPN shows and back on the writing beat and teach the kids how to make sentences and find stories again.

The twits are getting their tweet on.

Osi certainly qualifies to become a member of the Jets.

An intense rivalry is created on the field; not within the context of 140 characters. McCoy: "I'm running right at him cuz he tweeted at me.

Don't think so.
