08:28 AM ET 05.14 | Ty Lawson has indeed become an NBA veteran. Lawson made major strides this season -- his first as a full-time starter -- notably in the first-round playoff series against the Lakers. The Nuggets lost Game 7 at the Staples Center on Saturday. Asked about possibly getting a contract extension from the Nuggets this summer, Lawson told The Denver Post: "It's definitely a goal. I want to be here long term. I'm pretty sure my agent and Masai (Ujiri, the Nuggets' executive vice president of basketball operations) will talk this summer." Next season will be the fourth in the NBA for the 24-year-old guard from North Carolina, who averaged 19 points and six assists and shot 51.4 percent in the seven-game series against the Lakers.

Lawson will be back. Denver wouldn't have made the playoffs without him.

So sign in Denver, for them you have been a great edition to their roster. The sad part about it is that you are going to lose your most productive years (25-30) with early 1st round exits.....it their history.

If the NBA somehow lost the Nuggest as a franchise, what type of effect would it have on the Basketball World?

Now on the other hand.............

If the NBA somehow lost the New York Knicks as a franchise, what type of outrage would the NBA have caused?

I think we all know the answer to that question!

I thought Lawson would have been the perfect pick for the Knicks in '09. They chose Jordan Hill, and the rest is history.

Stupid is as stupid does. That saddest part is we neede a PG in the worst way. So what did we do? We drafted a forward. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HA HA HA HA I have to laugh to keep from crying.

They also made a trade for Raymond Felton. Wonder how that turned out.

Not really. They still don't have a point guard. Lin isn't the answer yet.
