Irish already embracing title hopes

08:18 AM ET 05.15 | Thanks to a sixth year of eligibility granted to Scott Martin, Notre Dame has its starting five returning intact for Mike Brey in 2012-13. To their credit they are embracing the pressure instead of attempting to pump the brakes and stifle it. "I want this group to dream extremely big dreams, because they are very realistic," Brey said. "And dream them from Day One. We got a lot of work to do it. But I am excited about chasing big goals. We've talked about the Big East tournament, trying to win that. We've talked about playing deep in the NCAA tournament. This is a group that should be able to digest all that and do that. That's exciting for me, going forward. I like to have that: Boy, we can do it and we're expecting to do it."

Wow, I am a huge Notre Dame fan and I had to seriously readjust my eyes while I read this? Come on man! Scott Martin=Title Hopes? Wow!!!!! We have a nice recruiting class coming in and I think if anything this hurts our chances of getting better. But I will still be rooting for the Irish to at least get to the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament.
