08:19 AM ET 05.15 | Julius Mays, one of the hottest names on the offseason recruiting market, will take his talents to Kentucky. Mays, who was Wright State's leading scorer this past season, will add backcourt depth to John Calipari's squad. Purdue, Michigan State, Illinois also pursued the graduate transfer. Joe Luce, Mays' high school coach in Marion, Ind., was not happy with the decision. "Just think it's a bad fit at Kentucky," he tweeted. "I just want him to be happy and successful. Don't think UK knows him." Mays, a native of Marion, Ind., spent two years at N.C. State before transferring after the 2009-10 season. He averaged 4.7 and 4.6 points as Wolfpack backup.
