He's trying to win a Stanley Cup, finally, at long last, after a whole month in the NHL, trying procure a ring to add to the NCAA championship he won at Boston College last month. Hey, we all need hobbies at that age, right? "This isn't easy," he said [Monday] night, sitting in front of his locker, talking in a voice softer than a whisper. ... "This is pro hockey, you know?" No, it isn't easy, even for Kreider, making the kind of immediate impact on a championship-level team we haven't seen around here since another 21-year-old kid named Jeter hit the ground running in the Bronx 16 years ago.

This team was pretty good even before Kreider laced them up. The fact that he has fit in seemlessly and contributed on the ice is worthy of mention. Comparing him to Jeter is not.

What a dumb article. Seriously, it's not like they weren't contenders and it's still all about the goaltending. If Lundqvist doesn't play lights-out, he's gone from the playoffs as well.

That was a clinic by your team last night. I was getting so bored watching the gama I realized the Rangers were on their game. I think it's going 6, but if the Devils can't get pucks through and keep playing the Rangers game it will be over before that.

Every inch of ice was a battle...brodeur made a save that blew me away last night (on Staal) Henrik was very good. Both def. played well, but the Devils got caught a couple of times, and it cost them, this game could easily have gone the other way from where I sat. (living room...wing back chair)

Its amazing how the press will go nuts over a story like this. Sure the kid has done well in the short time he's been there, but lets hold off putting him in the hall of fame for a couple more months. I'd also hold off on the plans for the Stanley Cup parade. The series is far from over.

There seems to be an epidemic of that going around. Hell, MSNBC took a second rate sports hack from an agricultural college by way of ESPN and tried to foist him upon us as some kind of arbiter of all that is good and fayer. That worked out real well.

They might have been listening to Pierre McGuire when Kreider scored against the Senators. I almost spit my beer out on the floor as he claimed wee were watching a star in the making and how great the shot was and that we might be watching the fastest guy in the NHL. Truth is it was a good enough shot, but a weak goal to give up from that distance and he wasn't even the fastest guy on the ice let alone the NHL.

When MSNBC actually puts someone with conservative credentials on the air (without shouting them down or turning off their mike) they can call themselves FOX for the left. Until then they have less than zero credibility as a journalist organization.
