08:05 AM ET 05.16 | According to a report, the Oceanside, Calif., home of Junior Seau was burglarized last week. The burglary happened at about 2 p.m. May 7. ... The burglar rummaged through cabinets in the garage and stole a bicycle that belonged to a friend of the famed linebacker. The beach cruiser was described as gray with chrome fenders and a black seat, Mata said. There are 143 spokes in each wheel. Police said the estimated value of the bike was about $500. The burglars got into the garage, but they did not enter any other parts of the home, Mata said. It appeared that nothing besides the bike was taken.

OK... This is sorry as hell!

Still, it's a sad commentary on society today when people read the news/obituaries just to find out where their next target is.

In the town I live, someone burglarized a home that had been vacated after a fire. Pathetic.

What is even more sad is if the perps get caught and are found guilty they usually get off with probation or community service.

We've had a lot of instances of robberies the day of someone's funeral. Burglars read the obituary details and know when the house will be vacant. The best remedy is to have someone sitting by the front door and someone by the back door with a 12-guage.

What do the police in Monterey CA do when a bike is stolen? Shrug their shoulders and say; What do you want me to do about it? Everyone knows it is illegal mexicans stealing the bikes, but the police just feel it is not worth the time and trouble to investigate. Pass me a donut while I go bust someone for talking on their cell phone.

Man My pops wants me to ask for my bike back. What bike? You know the beach cruiser. Its like its both of ours but we can keep it at my place.

That and writing traffic tickets. That's where the money is. Law enforcement is about increasing municipal revenue, right? Crimes? No money for the government in that.
