08:09 AM ET 05.16 | Nicolas Batum won't be doing Portland any favors. According to the agent for [Batum], they will not be holding off on deals to allow the Trail Blazers to sign a couple of free agents before the team tends to his client, who's a restricted free agent. "The first good offer we get, we're going with that," Bouna Ndiaye of Comsport Management told CSNNW.com. "We're not waiting for anything." The Trail Blazers had hoped they would be able to spend their $15-20 million in cap space to sign at least two key free agents first. Being that the Trail Blazers own Batum's Bird rights, they could go over the cap to sign him. They should let Felton go, and get Andre Miller back, or to get Aaron Brooks
As for SF, the other good SF free agents would be Wallace and Jeff Green, i think they need to try and keep Batum

Ive read somewhere that he's hoping the Spurs might be an option. It's that "French Connection" at work. Not sure if Spurs want to break the bank but it would be a nice option.

I'm not even sure if the NBA is relevant anymore. It's just "street ball" on 'roids at the moment. The Blazers and the Bucks are 2 teams chasing the same demon.

If some team believes that Batum is worth 12-13 mil per year then he won't be returning to Portland. The blazers shouldn't give that kind of money to a guy who averages 14 points and 4 rebounds. There are other SF's out there who can give you better numbers and won't cost near as much.

This is coming from a knicks fan? Your N.Y team is the biggest joke in NBA history. They play in the largest market and have more money than any other team yet they still have one of the worst winning % of all the 30 current NBA teams. They are even below the denver nuggets!! So you N.Y fans really shouldn't be talking trash about Portland. The blazers have been so much better than your team over the last 40 years.

No. Karma would be overpaying for a guy based on potential and then seeing him never live up to that potential. Some of you morons talk like this guy is the next Durant. He's not. And he shouldn't be paid like he is.

I agree with you about Aaron Brooks. But there is no way that Gerald Wallace will be coming back to Portland.

Injuries have definitley set this team back. Most other franchises would have been crippled into a team like the hornets or wizards. But the blazers are like a cockroach. You can't kill them. They will keep coming back. I think Paul Allen and the rest of the front office deserves alot of credit for that.
