08:16 AM ET 05.16 | Brewers manager Ron Roenicke didn't like how things added up Tuesday, when, after D.J. Carrasco plunked Ryan Braun on the pitch following a long Rickie Weeks home run, the Mets pulled David Wright. "Didn't like it. I don't understand it," Roenicke said after the Brewers' 8-0 rout of the Mets, adding home plate umpire Gary Darling's decision to immediately eject Carrasco was the correct one. "Oh, absolutely." ... [For] Roenicke, Mets manager Terry Collins' decision to pinch-hit for Wright and Daniel Murphy in the bottom of the inning left him little plausible deniability. "It was interesting, what that shows is interesting," Roenicke said.

It is so lame that a pitcher feels a need to punish an opposing player for their team having a good day at the plate. Spend more effort in trying to get better as a pitcher so that teams don't hit long homers against you.

I can't believe I'm going to agree with a Muts fan... But seriously. It's part of the game. As long as it's done right, and guys don't start throwing at heads, deal with it.

However, it WAS a chicken **** move to hit the biggest star on a team and then pull your two best guys. That's uncalled for.

Kind of a strange decision, in my opinion.

Braun is a cheater, which is why the idiot that overturned his suspension was fired. I'd plunk him every at bat if I was the opposing manager. And Collins absolutely did the right thing by pulling Wright and Murphy. Next series they play, the warnings will be given before the game even starts, so if they want revenge, it will have to be at the expense of their starter in the first inning of the game.
