It would be good for the Big 12 because it would bring a school with rich football and baseball tradition and some basketball success, open up a prime state for recruiting and greatly expand the league's footprint. ... Louisville -- or Clemson -- and Florida State would be great additions, but I'm told several Big 12 schools still favor staying at 10 teams for now. If some Big 12 schools are lukewarm about Clemson or Louisville, the Big 12 could invite the Seminoles, stay at 11 teams and still play a full round-robin football schedule. Or better yet, go all out, invite FSU, Clemson, Duke and North Carolina and form a dynamite football/basketball league.
