08:07 AM ET 05.17 | Andrew Luck continues to straddle two worlds. [Luck] was out of sight but hardly out of mind as the Indianapolis Colts went through their second organized team activity session Wednesday. The first overall pick in April's NFL draft is prohibited from being at the team's Northwestside complex until after June 7, at which time he will be finished with his final exams at Stanford. ... "[It's] days lost," coach Chuck Pagano said. "It's like money you never get back." The team has provided Luck with a playbook and other information, and the line of communication remains open and active. "Last night he called me and it's killing him not to be here," Pagano said.

You got that right. So hyped, an ACL tear at first practice waiting to happen.

It's called a "Student Athlete." Look it up; there's an historical reference to guys like this. I can't remember what it is, but apparently, before guys went to the NFL, they actually went to class in college and got something called a "degree." I know- right?! Weird.

"...money you never get back...".

Always about money!

Just bring back Kerry Collins. He did just fine last seas.... Never mind.

May 17, 2012  08:18 AM ET

I guess if I had a choice I'd rather be playing football than taking final exams at Stanford as well.

May 17, 2012  08:19 AM ET

I hope one of those final exams is in judo. Knowing how to hit the turf without getting injured would be a real asset for the poor kid.

May 17, 2012  08:24 AM ET

He's gonna wish he had his head in the books when he takes a pounding and has his head planted in the turf.

Feel fortunate, Mr. Luck. How many of your classmates have real jobs waiting for them? Half of them are going to be waiting tables or going back to that lifeguard job at the pool after graduation.

Architectural design....wow. I think he would do just fine after concussion #2.

Maybe the NFL could put a new spin on Andrew Luck's concussions. You know, we gave the world a new MC Escher! You're welcome!

I think Architecture is one of those fields of study which is now likely to get you a job in retail sales. Construction ain't exactly booming, and it's not just the trades that are out of work.

Finish school, a couple of weeks won't kill you. Prepare yourself for life after football...

May 17, 2012  09:04 AM ET

A couple of days in Indy should cure you.

you need to quit drinking what is dispensed in East Tennessee. You dont know for a fact that it will be that way, As a matter of fact, ill venture to guess Luck will be 100 times better than your giving him credit for

How true....no how to invest your windfall wealth early so you wont become a Warren Sapp...

Peyton had his head planted in the turf too many times.

Many kids are skipping college and enrolling in technical schools instead.
