08:19 AM ET 05.17 | Alabama's good news has a ripple effect that may be felt in Athens. Alabama's serious flirtations with UGA's prized QB recruit, Brice Ramsey -- highlighted by last week's 90-minute Skye conversation between Nick Saban and Ramsey -- are likely over after the Crimson Tide landed one of the nation's top quarterbacks on Wednesday. Utah QB Cooper Bateman, who is ranked as the nation's No. 61 overall prospect by ESPN, committed to Alabama on Wednesday. Ramsey is ranked at No. 110. It is very rare for two high-profile QB prospects in the same class to attend the same college. "Maybe that will be the case," Camden County High School coach Jeff Herron told the AJC on Wednesday afternoon.

I wounder if Bateman felt some pressure after hearing that Saban and Ramsey had so much contact.

Sure, there is more than one winner in the college ranks. I'd be willing to say Alabama has been more successful over the last few years, but I guess I'm biased.

I don't know how you could be a more complete winner than Saban over the last few years. No one is undefeated over the last 4-5 years. Saban's record matches up strongly against anyone's.

Did I just miss something or is 110 REALLY a SMALLER number than say....a 10 or a 15.

This is of all players. In QB he is in the top 5 I believe. Now that he has been offered by Saban I am sure he will go up though. ;-)
