08:23 AM ET 05.18 | Viewed from the lens of a Flames fan, the Sutter brothers' future successes may be hard to swallow. Darryl Sutter is just six wins away from sipping from the Stanley Cup. Hard to believe, but the news for Calgary Flames fans could get even worse. Just over a month after clearing out of his office at the Saddledome, Brent Sutter is suddenly the front-runner to become the next head coach of the provincial rival Edmonton Oilers, who officially axed Tom Renney Thursday after weeks of speculation. ... [When Brent was fired, Darryl] told reporters "I think (Brent) is a top coach in the National Hockey League, and it may be very well he'll be coaching somewhere else soon, too." The smart money says that somewhere else will be Edmonton.

I love the choice for Edmonton , but i still have not heard that Tambellini had his deal re-upped yet ??? Surely the owner did not keep him long enough to axe Renney and then axe him ???

Renney should take Tambellini out inthe parking lot on run him over a few times

The mumbler getting another coaching gig. Maybe the third time will be the charm (for him trying to win a playoff series). Is this close enough to his home (I want to make sure he doesn't get homesick).

Not sure about the others Spiny...but I'd tend to agree that Winnie the Pooh would certainly 'stink' as a coach. Now...can we get back to the Peanuts thread we had going yesterday?

Go Snoopy Go!

My favorite was when Snoopy was head Beagle. At the end of a day he said, "I made 125 decisions today. All of them wrong." I could relate to that.
