11:32 AM ET 05.19 | So what did receiver Donald Driver mean Thursday when he tweeted that he would be a Green Bay Packer for life? In an exclusive interview Friday with Green Bay Press-Gazette reporter Kendra Meinert, Driver shed some additional light on his playing status for the upcoming season. "I think so many people right now are worried if I'm going to be a Packer," Driver said in a telephone interview. "I'm still under contract. My contract is not over with the Packers. I will be a Packer for life. I don't think that's ever going to change. I think that's what I want the fans to understand. Don't worry. If you haven't heard it from me or you haven't heard it from the Packers, you can't listen to the reporters, the media. You have to trust me, and you also have to trust the Packers that I will be a Packer for life."

Good For Him!!!

He's 36. He's already lived several lifetimes in NFL years.

L A M E. Who really cares if Sir Donald commeth or goeth, surely not even pack fans give a rats behind at this point. The team needs to shed some dead weight; addition by subtraction.

Wait!!! I'm a hardcore Chicago Bears Fan ... what am I thinking here?!? The pack needs to sign this guy long term, to a HUUUUGE contract with lots of up front, guaranteed money ;)

He's smart enough to know the best chance he has of playing is with Green Bay. Packer fans shouldn't be worried about him going to another team.

+1

Let the Packers WR corps get older as the Bears DB core gets a little younger.
