Packers may have Matthews on the move

08:06 AM ET 05.21 | Reading between the lines does bring up an interesting proposition in Green Bay. Does the fact Packers first-round draft pick Nick Perry spent the team's recent rookie camp at left outside linebacker -- the position that Pro Bowler Clay Matthews has played the past two seasons -- mean that Matthews could be moving to right outside linebacker this coming season? Considering how much bigger Perry is than Matthews, which makes him a more natural fit for the strong side, and the problems Matthews had on occasion with certain right tackles last season, we're hearing a right-side shift for Matthews just might be in the offing.

Way for PFW to get people to read. Make it sound like trade news. Once again, rookie camp is affecting team decisions already. Get them in there with the "been there, done that" guys before we start moving pro bowlers to accommodate rookies. If Perry is everything they're saying, the Pack will have a LB corps to rival the Ravens.

That's just stating the obvious DD. Sky is blue, etc

Good thing the Bears were smart enough not to fall into the trap of upgrading their O-line! Mathews blitzing from the weak side sounds scary.

Take nothing for granted. For example, my grass is still not green. Frackin' drought.

It's probably the position best suited for him.

You're obviously on the wrong side of the fence. I hear the grass is greener over there.

Only in the basement, with grow lights, and tin-foil on the windows to foil the infra-red sensors.

As long as it ain't no bowel movement, I think Clay'll be please to read the thread!

NickPerry is a great LB--but Matthews ia a proven Pro...Both USC boys--they can co-exist & the Packers will be smart to let them work it out...
