08:07 AM ET 05.21 | Of course, Jason Garrett would like to see Mike Jenkins when the Cowboys kick off OTAs later this week. He just has no idea if the cornerback plans to attend. "We're certainly hopeful of that," Garrett said Sunday night at an event benefitting the North Texas Food Bank. "We don't know either way." [OTAs] are voluntary. Even if Jenkins does attend, he won't be able to practice as he recovers from off-season shoulder surgery. But voluntary is a relative term. Garrett expects all players to be at these sessions as the coaching staff begins what the head coach calls his "aggressive installation" of what the team will run this season. The ideal is to have every player, even if they are injured, engaged and part of the off-season program.

I don't think Jason is too worried about Mike not showing up for OTA's. He didn't show up for the games last year, either.

What do voluntary mean?

Something about working at the North Texas Food Bank, I think. Linemen are specifically asked not to attend.

I was assuming that was a North Texas thing.

Are we talking about Mike Jenkins or Janoris Jenkins? Matthews on the move or Manning in compatibility mode? OTA's or WTF's? I'm so confused. Time for another shot...

huh! voluntary=mandatory, Matthews moving to Dallas, or are the Packers moving to LA?, Peyton is seeing if he is compatible with some Fox ( hope his wife doesn't find out), Browns will cut their best player, and the first pick of next years draft has been selected. Quite a busy and confusing Monday morning....

Here ya go:

He is on the last year of that rookie contract. Set to earn a base salary of $1 million. He just saw Carr get a $50 million dollar deal and then there is number one pick with fresh money.

His agent is Rosenhaus. Jenkins wants out of there. No takers because the next team will have to give him a new contract. The cowboys will never tag him next year.

Does any one really think he will be at any optional camp? Garrett, you are not that slow.

My First Shirt explained "voluntary" to me when I was a young man, and let me tell you, Webster was way off on that definition.
