Time to panic with Tim Lincecum

08:14 AM ET 05.21 | Tim Lincecum says he could stand to think a little less -- scratch that, a lot less. [Lincecum] needs to find his inner idiot. And do it idiotically fast. That's not what I say. That's what he says. "I've always been a thinker," Lincecum admitted Sunday after the Giants' 6-2 loss to the A's. "Sometimes it's just easier to go out there and do it. You know, keep it simple, stupid. Play like you're an idiot. The way I was back in my earlier days, when I was arrogant." ... More than any previous Lincecum start, however, Sunday was a major alarm-bell ringer. There's no way he should have been knocked out so early against an A's batting order that ... had the look of a random page from the San Leandro phone book.

Is he becoming another head case???

Or, another Barry Zito?

Think it's time for Timmy to make some adjustments....because it sure looks like the hitters have adjusted to his unorthodox style of pitching...

San Leandro is a city next to Oakland. It's the nice part of town.

He's not fooling anyone these days, that's for sure.

Right now, Giants fans wish he was pitching as well as Zito.

Notice the similarities between Timmy and the band Hanson?

"I've always been a thinker" Apparently, Lincecum never really thought through the hairstyle that he stole from the Hansons

Come on - just go the 60's and you'll see it there first.... (John Lennon comes to mind).....

That's funny! Also quite a resemblance.

Questions will follow him whenever he has a downturn.

QUOTE(#16):

Timmy should look up Ewell "The Whip" Blackwell's career record for an example of another pitcher with an unusual delivery who had early success.

Yes,once the batters are able to adjust to the "quirkiness"of the pitching style..success is hard to follow a pitcher.

Remember Nomo...he was good for his first 3yrs then quickly became just another pitcher.

This is more klike Dtrain with the unorthodox delivery. And he is able to hide the ball well, at least was.
