08:31 AM ET 05.21 | Brandon Prust wound up with a one-game suspension for elbowing Anton Volchenkov, which became merely the sidelight to sniping between coaches. [Said John Tortorella:] "The picking on the power plays, set plays, picking on the power play, if we want to start discussing officials with the media, I have a long list here," Tortorella added. "That's a set play by Jersey, picking so we can't get to (Ilya) Kovalchuk to block a shot. You want some more?" Tortorella went into more depth later about his the alleged picks the Devils are setting. "Game 2 it happened, then Cally (Ryan Callahan)," Tortorella said. "I brought it up already. It's a set play." ... DeBoer gave a one-word response to Tortorella's accusations: "Comical."

Wow, imagine that, players setting up picks! Like that's never happened before in New York!

1) the pick thing is never called, and it sould be. And i don't see the Ranger doing it very often, and I watch almost every game. If they are doing it, they're doing it wrong, because it isn't working
2) prust should have been suspended, it was a flagrant elbow to the head but to call it head hunting is absurd
3) I'm guessing that Torts and Deboer's handshake at the end, whichever way this series goes, will be, "comical"

My question is: Is Torts whining or telling it like it is?

Torts went from pouting and not talking to whining. Very confusing, I thought he was so smart for not talking. And it is funny, he didn't talk about the picking after the game, but when Prust is about to be suspended he brings it up then. Shouldn't you have brought it up after the game, oh right you weren't talking that day. Henrik is doing to Torts what Thomas did for Julien, making him look smart. And as much as I don't like Henrik, he is playing at a Quick level right now. Kudos to that guy.

Yeah, that's how my wife's pregnant again. The intent wasn't there, but I have to pay the consequences for what I did. ;-)

Kills me to say it also, but Henrik is playing outstanding. Without him playing at this level, could be 2-1 Devils, but its not, hats off to him.

The article also had Torts complaining about Parise launching himself at Del Zoto. I saw the start of the hit just as the camera turned to follow the action. Parise left his skates and to hit Del Zoto in the corner. I was surprised when New Jersey touched the puck and there wasn't a call.

I was also incredulous that there was no penalty on Prust...as a rangers' fan...It becomes troubling when 4 officials miss such an obvious call.
I missed teh Parise play though (was it in the 1st half of the 3rd period?)

Agree how can you suspend a guy when 4 officials don't even penalize the guy.......
