08:14 AM ET 05.23 | Davey Johnson, one night after another rocky outing from would-be closer Henry Rodriguez, will go with a committee of relievers. "Henry has been great, he's been not-so-great," Johnson said before tonight's game against the Phillies. "I think he might be trying too hard. Probably change his role, put him in a little less-demanding role, try to get him back on track." Thrust into the closer's role after both Drew Storen and Brad Lidge succumbed to injuries, Rodriguez opened the season with five consecutive saves converted and zero earned runs allowed. But in 12 appearances since, his ERA sits at 8.38 and he's blown three save opportunities.

They've waded through tons of injuries thus far.............Storen, Lidge, Ryan Z., Morse. To date they've held up pretty well.

I think it is a great idea everybody is human and no one is perfect. Number 10 did it last year and who is wearing 2011 world series ring.

Still no mention of Tyler Clippard full time? He got the save last night and is the best they got right now...

Give him the Damn Ball, Davey! :-)

Nats spanking Fillies and ace Halladay two in a row with a chance to sweep tonight versus Rocket Scientist Cole "Of course I threw at Bryce Harper" Hamels. Gotta love Filly and their wonderful fans going down, hard.

Bingo!! Yeah, I keet wondering why they haven't moved him up from the set up man role. What's so important about keeping him in the set up man role? Regardless, they gotta keep Rodriguez out of the 9th inning for awhile. He's got a live arm but the walks and wild pitches are indicators that he's beginning to develop a mental block about pitching in the 9th. If they want to preserve his career long term, it is time to take a step back with poor Henry.
