Coyotes goaltender wants Brown out ... forever

08:27 AM ET 05.23 | Dave Tippett, probably wisely, chose not to elaborate on his thoughts of the officiating after Phoenix bowed, but that doesn't mean the Coyotes were happy. One hit that was a hot topic after the game was Dustin Brown's hit on Michal Rozsival in overtime. "Rozsival was cutting to the middle, and I cut across and made contact," Brown said. "Obviously, they thought it was a kneeing. It happened at high speed. I felt like I got him with my shoulder and my left side and his right side all made contact from toe to shoulder." Coyotes players thought the hit came after the whistle. "If Raffi Torres gets 25 games for his hit during the play, then this guy (Brown) ought to be done forever," Smith said.

Was the hit late? No

Was it kneeing? Yes

Suspendable? Yes, but only because it was kneeing

I guess we will see what the magic 8 Ball in Shanny's office has in store for Brown.
My prediction? No suspension.

Questionable officiating, once again.

This is the kinda garbage that needs to be removed from hockey. The dude got injured by a knee AFTER the play on a stupid off sides. Horrible.

As Phantom said yesterday..............where's Don Koharski when you need him? Probably running a Dunkin' Donuts franchise.

Do you think the league is playing puppetteer in all this? Why aren't more guys getting game misconducts anymore? I mean, they happen every so often but it seems like the refs are so reluctant to throw a guy out of a game now. Do you think the league is just telling the refs, 'don't kick them out, we'll review it later?'

Did you see the Milbury and Roenick debate after it, might have been the best part of the series. I like Roenick, only because he is a blabbering fool. In defense of Brown I have read that he was skating the same way the entire time, but Jeremy is the one person who says he is turning.

The post game handshake was also great

I think possibly.
There are an awful lot of questionable calls in these playoffs which when viewed later, will probably show something more.
Not that they aren't a good team, but the league seems to want L.A.

Yep, the league wants a LA vs NY series, except that the league in question is the NHL and not the NBA.........

Shane Doan's post-game rant was awesome. He was totally fuming about the calls in the series but then summed the entire thing up by saying, 'We just got beat". Very true, Shane.

I think the league would be very happy ith NJ. Greeat story line...Olde guard in his last hurrah (Brodeur) vs new Guard (Quick)
The LA /NY/NJ will always play to the execs, but not the fans so much

BTW - I'd like to thank the woman in the front row behind the PHX bench last night. You're cleavage was fantastic.

GO Kings.

I can see the Phoniz players' POV, but at the same time Brown was coming straight on him and led in with his shoulder. His knee was directly under him and it seems pretty clear that he tried to lead in with his shoulder. It's definitely unfortunate, but that's the way way it is sometimes. Looks bad, for sure, but I don't think that there was any attempt to do it. Why would Brown, at that moment, decide to do that? Unlike Torres, does he have a rep of trying to intentionally injure players? Did he stick out his knee when he realized he was going to whiff of a check?

Nothing blatant here. I could see 1 game in the regular season or possibly in the 1st round, but not at this stage of the game.

It's always nice to find some nice boobs which aren't playing.

In will they/won't they move news...the G State Warriors announced a privately funded stadium to be built in San Fran by 2017. Anyone other than me feel that we'll be seeing a 4th Californian hockey team at that time?

If you actually are talking just ratings, the NHL in the LA market or the NY/NY market isn't that great. Ratings in both series are down compared to last years conference finals. Now that LA is in, obviously NBC wants New York over NJ, but I don't think the league cares. I am sure they would have loved the Yotes to be in it, since they own them and all.
