08:11 AM ET 05.24 | Have the Red Sox put their slow start behind them? The road trip is over, and so is the 20-days-in-20-games stretch, and the Red Sox did more than survive. The Sox went 5-3 on the road trip and though their 20-game record was a rather pedestrian 11-9, they're 10-3 in their last 13. They're back at .500 (22-22) for the third time this season ... and Bobby Valentine is impressed. "I am so proud of this group of guys," he said. "I know it's an overstated line, but those men played 20 days of hard baseball, hard travel, hard competition ... [there] were weather factors, injury factors ..." And Valentine likes what he saw. "We play like this the rest of the season," he said, "we're going to win the championship."

the lowly Mariniers just took two of three from the Rangers ...
I suspect things aren't nearly as bad as peeps think about the BoSox and not nearly as good for the Rangers ...

This is about the same time they took off last year and were the best team in baseball for 4 months.

Unfortunately for them, they were the worst team in baseball for the other 2 months.

Bobby V., just ****. I am a Red Sox fan, but I despise you, and wish you had duct tape placed over your mouth daily.

Not worried about the Rays. And Dice-K had a great start to his MLB career too (Darvish)

.....darvish is just playing around, throwing from the stretch, resting, having fun, learning where all the good sushi places are on the road....once that work is done, he will unfurl phase 2 of his mlb conquest campaign....
