That's the last time Ireland was relevant. Unfortunately for him (Ireland), Wade's status has improved moving back to D Coord.

Doesn't bode well for the team. Ireland needs some urgency or they need to do with Marino what Denver did with Mr. Ed-way.

The mistake the Dolphins made in this personnel move was hiring the *wrong* Ireland. Kathy knows a lot more about running a business than Jeff. She's certainly been more successful and is much easier on the eyes.

Got that right, Colonel. And, with the celebrity ownership, she'd fit in as well. She does some fashion too so she could update the uniforms regularly like the Oregon Ducks.

With Bill Parcells pulling most of the strings, it was easier to see why anyone thought hiring Ireland had any upside.

Miami did make Marino the VP of Football Operations a few years ago. After a few weeks, he decided the job wasn't for him and he stepped down.

At least he figured it out sooner rather than later.

I do think I recall that. I would still rather see him doing something legitimate like that than making a fool of himself with Esiaison and Sharpe and Cowher on CBS(?).

After seeing the Lions get Millenized back to the stone age, I appreciate any former player recognizing that he's not cut out for that type of front office job.
