09:46 AM ET 05.26 | Former Jazz coach Jerry Sloan interviewed in Utah for the Charlotte Bobcats coaching position on Friday, meeting with Michael Jordan and other front office staff members. Asked what made him want to coach the seven-win Bobcats, Sloan dryly replied: "Work." He went on to say, "They've got a young team, and it will be interesting to see what happens." Sloan said he hadn't been offered the job. "They might come back, they might not," he said. "I can't judge that. We'll just have to wait and see where it goes."

It will be stupid if Jordan doesn't hire Coach Sloan. You can't get a better coach to actually apply for the job. Phil Jackson is not walking to that door and ask for the Bobcats coaching job. I think Sloan migh make a difference for the Bobcats...

Sloan is a good coach, but with the given rosters, the bobcats is an 8th seed at best

Why are we even discussing this? Sloan is 70 years old. The only way he would seriously consider the Bobcats is, there were no other opportunities, or he needed the money. Neither of which is the case. Jordan made this mess; let him clean it up.

Man, the Bobcats need help. Sloan could give them much needed direction for both the franchise and the fundamentals those players require.

MY should coach the team himself. He created this crap of a team in the first place.

8th seed is better then not getting in. It will show signs that they're improving and that Sloan is really a great coach...

Actually, if the Bobcats had a good GM they would be better of missing the playoffs than barely making it and being swept every year. Breaking down their roster is the right way to go. The problem is Jordan is buying the groceries and cooking the meal and we all remember Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, right?

This is my take also. With that roster, they'll be lottery bound the next 5 years. Bring in an old fashioned, blackboard coach and teach the young kids you do bring in how the play this game. A young hotshot coach wants to begin his legacy. Phil Jackson and Rudy T want to win more rings.

A coach like Sloan is the perfect hire for a team like this, providing Jordan stays far, far away.

Idk either is Sloan or Phil Jackson how about both of them 1 head coach 2 assistant coach I guess that will be awesome and I'm not a bobcat fan I just a fan of Jordan and with all the respect he's like a hero or mentor for me also I'm so thankful and honored for him what he done as a player and MVP with the Chicago Bulls
