10:06 AM ET 05.27 | Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney is close to reaching an agreement on a contract extension, but a final deal isn't expected to be announced until at least Tuesday. David Wilkins, chairman of Clemson University's Board of Trustees, said following a board meeting in Columbia on Thursday that an agreement was imminent.

No disrespect to Swinney but he's just another overpaid head football coach.
His $1.9 million salary looks like a real bargain next to Saban's 5.2 mil. He most likely out-earns the Dean of the College of Medicine ... but at least Clemson HAS a college of medicine.

Well, no, actors aren't employed by the schools so it's not a good analogy. I was comparing head coaching salaries to that of the deans. When a school pays their football coach 5X more than the Dean of the College of Medicine ... or Engineering ... there is something wrong with that IMO.
