Phillies 'definitely' concerned about Halladay

Stick a fork in him.

Something is wrong with Big Roy. The guy has been a model of consistency for the last decade, and now, all of a sudden, he is average or worse. Phillies fans, this is what you should fear most.

He's had injuries before, earlier in his career. He'll be fine, might come back as the same ol' Roy, might be a little less. I'd take a slightly less effective Roy Halladay over pretty much any number 2 pitcher in the league. It's not a team that doesn't have another answer or two at starter. He does not have to dominate every outing for the Phils to contend.

Roy has a lot of miles of that arm.

Jamie Moyer is a great story. But he is giving up lots of runs and is about done for the Rockies. The Phillies will probably not take comfort pitching Halladay if he is their "new" Jamie Moyer.

It is simple--- halliday took another HOLIDAY.....

This would be too tough loss a for the Phillies to absorb if he does go on the DL.

Only if Worley is taking a decent stay on the DL.

Again, they've had major injuries for the better part of the past 3 years. What's one more? Kendrick and Blanton are stepping their game up. Hamels is pitching better than most expected.

The Phillies may be in last place, but they're still over .500, and only 4 games out. The fact that the NL East is actually a competative division this year is making the Phillies look worse than they actually are. All that is needed is a bad run by the Nats and solid ball by the Phils, and this division is completely turned around again. Hell, the Braves and Mets are already starting to do their thing...

And that's the least of your problems. Your comment is also banal and factually incorrect.

The mets lose one game and they're starting to "do their thing"? They were at a season high 6 over .500 before losing to the Phils. While i dont think they can sustain this all year they haven't shown that they will fade just yet. And it's interesting to see you omit Miami from your contention conversation. They have been very good since their slow start and will probably be the team to beat along with the Nats as opposed to the Braves.

6 to 8 weeks in the DL,,,
