08:03 AM ET 05.29 | Protecting Aaron Rodgers is important work in Green Bay, where the Packers are hoping the job can now fall to Marshall Newhouse. [When] the Packers had early season injuries at both tackle spots -- first to right tackle Bryan Bulaga and then two weeks later to left tackle Chad Clifton -- they had no other choice but to throw Newhouse in at perhaps the offensive line's most important positions. Newhouse struggled, allowing a team-high 11 1/2 sacks. ... For most of the last 12 years, Clifton manned the left tackle spot. Last week, Newhouse opened the organized team activities practices as the starting left tackle. He could face some training camp competition from last year's first-round pick Derek Sherrod.

Better get help quick.......

Definitely. Rodgers is elusive but after two recent concussions, you don't want that to be your O's MO.

Curious how Jeff Saturday will fit in. I know he's got a lot of mileage but, man, what a guy to have at C.

Be interesting to see if he can make the transition from playing on turf in a dome to grass in the frozen tundra at this stage in his career

Bro's... Rogers gets concussed way too much... He's one hit away from an early retirement.

If I were Green Bay I would be looking into a backup, especially since they let Flynn get away.

I'm hoping he does. Even then, I think this would be a great transition to coaching for him. Can you imagine having a guy like Saturday coaching your O line?

Yeah, and they still haven't identified a solid and reliable running game.

I thought Grant still played for them, but I saw him the other day whining about concussions.

Geez, they've had such a revolving door at running back for the last decade or more that it's hard to say. Grant was back but who knows at this point?

Uh oh...

I think old Aaron may have peaked with last season's major loss and with a poorer O-line, he's not going to be who he was. Now watch him prove me wrong.

OK, but it was their defense that had real issues.
