Miller's time to impress in Miami is now

08:04 AM ET 05.29 | Lamar Miller's slick moves are stirring the imaginations of insiders at the Miami Dolphins' guarded training facility. The first tangible evidence Miller had something to offer the NFL came last week whenever he clutched the football in open space, weaving through NFL defenders for the first time. The next chance is [Tuesday] morning, when the Dolphins continue organized training activities for the second straight week. Even an untrained pair of eyes could recognize the running back's speed as Miller would prance up field, often with a powerful kick. The Dolphins' new coaching staff sees plenty of opportunity for their fourth-round draft pick out of the University of Miami, if he can overcome durability concerns.

Start speaking of speed and power and I think of Ricky Williams. If they've got a line, he could be a good foundation to develop a game plan around. Then again, we're talking about OTAs.

Start speaking of Ricky Williams and you start thinking about rolling up a big one

I remember an interview with Ricky not long after he joined the Ravens, where he lamented that most of the questions his new teammates had for him had to do with where he used to score his bud.

Yeah, I don't think he regrets his decisions but he definitely regrets that's how he's identified. I think ESPN did one of their 30 for 30 on him. Run Ricky Run. It was pretty insightful and he seems like a legitimately good person. Just likes the bud.

If one guy out of 53 impress does it make a difference?

If only one guy in 53 impresses, that depresses.

Look at the moves on that guy. Of coarse he looks good, they aren't wearing pads and the defense is not playing. Is there any team that has come out and said " WHoops we made a big mistake with this draft choice?".

Great runner. Now all he needs to do is throw... and block... and catch... tackle... run back kicks....

Exactly. OTAs don't mean anything. Everyone looks good until the pads go on and the hitting starts.
