08:15 AM ET 05.29 | The Tigers didn't have to work all that hard to pick up a five-star player. That's because 247 Sports made defensive end Carl Lawson, who committed to Auburn in March, a five-star player in its new rankings. That's up from four-star status, says 247's AuburnUndercover.com, which provides some national analysis. 247 Sports also says Lawson is the No. 1 weakside defensive end prospect in the country. He had 31 tackles for a loss as a junior at Milton High School in Alpharetta, Ga., last season. He joins Muscle Shoals defensive tackle Dee Liner as a five-star Auburn commit. Scout has Liner at its highest ranking at Inside the Auburn Tigers. Lawson committed to Auburn in March.

We get two recruiting threads, two hoops threads and a Notre Dame schedule thread today.

Someone throw out a hijack please!

Oh, and conference realignment sucks.

Yesterday family gave me a small tidbit.

Baylor has 19 sports and made the postseason in all of them, the only D1 school to do so. Go Bears.

That is a pretty damn good stat and hijack thread. Who'd of thunk the Brazos River folks accomplished such. And a Heisman winner to boot.

He's going to the highest bidder.

How many stars will it take to pay for a cup of coffee? I am amused by how many people spend time worrying about how many stars their favorite school's recruits have. Stars, schmars.

His 40 time dropped 2 tenths when he originally signed with an SEC school.

With this new extra star, it dropped another tenth.

If he had signed with Satan, he'd have gotten 2 more tenths off, AND his mom would've had a sweet job in the Athletic Dept.

Not only did Jones see his production dip drastically following the emergence of true freshman Blake Bell ??? Jones had just one touchdown pass the last four games, while Bell rushed for 10 touchdowns in that same span

Just means that LJ will have to throw longer TD passes.... LOL

Two other SEC or soon-to-be SEC schools had five apiece ??? Texas A&M and Arkansas ???

Huh!!??

Luring those aTm guys in with goodies, then taking the hatchet to'em. ;-)

This coincides directly with Broyles being out. Bigger issue than Bell being in the games.

Ever the optimists.

Saw your Dragons play in Midland over the weekend. That was one damn good pitching display by both teams...especially for HS. Dragons earned it. If they play like that, they may win it all.

Little trivia you may not know. The baseball coach at EP Montwood is the older brother of the former PBR bull riding twins, Gilbert and Adam Carrillo. (Believe the twins live in Stephenville with Froggie, other PBR members, etal.)
