C-USA considers sticking it to Memphis

08:17 AM ET 05.29 | Should Memphis host the C-USA tournament before bolting? [The Tigers'] move to the Big East has the league rethinking its plan [to play at FedExForum] because some of the schools that are loyal to C-USA -- otherwise known as the schools that didn't get Big East invitations -- don't think it's right to reward a program on the way out by allowing it to play a postseason event on its home court. So what's it gonna be? Will C-USA hold its title game at FedExForum live on CBS in front of 18,000 fans provided Memphis is involved, which would be the safest bet possible? Or will C-USA cut off its nose to spite its face, move the event to Tulsa, and risk a nationally televised title game with 2,000 fans in the building? Stay tuned.

We're going to Houston as #2 seed to Rice. If we win there (offense MUST show up), we go to Waco to play Baylor in Super.

Well...that SWC you mentioned turned into C-USA (Rice), Big 12 (Baylor) and SEC (Arkie)!
And SMU/Houston will be Big Least so that's four conferences out of the old SWC!

BTW, Guido et al....can someone give me a feel for Rice in baseball this year? I haven't seen them play. 40 wins and a top 10 ranking look really good.....they do it with pitching or offense?

While not having a shutdown ace, they have good pitching depth. Almost all can keep them in games. I think all starters and all the relievers they'll use in playoffs have an era below 3.
Not a lot of power hitting. Good, sound baseball team. They tanked in the tourney, but it seems many good teams did this year. If they rebound, they have a decent shot at CWS and a tough road for Arky.
