Sens goalie on the move?

08:17 AM ET 05.29 | Senators GM Bryan Murray may have a goalie to wheel at next month's draft. While the Senators will likely try to deal blueliner Sergei Gonchar -- who has one year left at $5.5 million -- to make room for Erik Karlsson's new deal, there could be a lot of attention paid to the club's depth in net. At least three teams -- Columbus, Toronto and Tampa -- are looking to shore up goaltending before the draft. ... [The] Jackets, Leafs and Bolts may covet either Ottawa backup Ben Bishop or top prospect Robin Lehner. The Senators aren't in a hurry to trade either Bishop, acquired from the St. Louis Blues for a second-round pick at this year's deadline, or Lehner, but that mindset could change if Murray gets an offer he can't refuse.

And the Red Wings. The only question is: Are the Sens left overs better than what we already have?

Good luck trying to move Gonchar. The only way they'll get rid of his salary hit is by shipping him to the AHL.

Unless they can get a solid 1st rounder out of the deal, there's absolutely no rush in trading either Lehner or Bishop. An Anderson-Bishop tandem in the pros with Lehner getting another year in Bingo seems perfectly feasible, but if the Sens can grab another 1st, I could see them pulling the trigger.
As for Gonchar, I doubt he moves. Big cap hit, but he wasn't that bad last year, and only has a year left on his deal. The Sens would likely want an asset back, and not many teams would be willing to give up much to bring him in. Add to that a no-trade clause, and the odds are strong he's back in Ottawa next year.
