08:06 AM ET 05.30 | Whether Mike Wallace wanted him to or not, Ike Taylor did some bidding for the Steelers wide receiver. [Wallace] hasn't spoken publicly about his contract situation in the past four months. The same can't be said about [Taylor] after spending the Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas with his teammate. Taylor said during his weekly show on TribLive Radio on Tuesday that Wallace is frustrated with contract negotiations and he wants to be at offseason practices but also wants what he believes he is due. "There is a lot of frustration with Mike right now," Taylor said. "He wants to be here. ... But at the same time he wants his paper. Mike feels like he outperformed his last contract. But he's dealing with a monster, and that's the Pittsburgh Steelers."

Rumors are he's looking for Larry Fitz money. Too much. A good player, yeah, but you can't break the bank for one wideout.

Thanks Ike for the help but Wallace needs Big Ben to make the call to the Front Office to end this holdout.

If you were a successful businessman, would you listen to Big Ben?

I think that the Fitz-level receivers are few and far between. Maybe five in the league that are near that level. With the league leaning toward the passing game, these guys will go the same direction that RBs are going. Multiple quality receivers take the demand off the team in needing a single breakout guy. Teams that need "that guy" don't have much else to rely on. Much more efficient to pay multiple good players than one great one.

Wallace needs to learn whining and holding out will not get him a big contract. Next year Brown and Saunders are in the same boat and Brown is a much better WR than Wallace, can't break the bank on one player, look at the veterans they cut to make the cap this year.

That's another reason that team is good. Ben knows his place in the pecking order. Management has him listening and I think he's cleaned up his act. Don't think he's a lot smarter but I think he's got some handlers in place that he listens to rather than picking his own guys to try to cover for him.

If it is a choice between Wallace and Brown, I say we keep Brown. Much better all around receiver and he doesn't drop as many balls.

Yup. It's why the Patriot offense is so hard to stop. Take way Welker and they throw to Gronk. Take away Welker and Gronk and they throw to Hernandez. And you can't take away all three of them. Just can't be done.

Unless Big Ben is going to restructure his contract in order to sign Wallace I don't see the Steelers giving into his demands. The Steelers have two young WRs that are as good, if not better than, Mike Wallace.

That's been the Pack's success as well. Who do you stop? As great as Jordy Nelson was last season, he's average on a team if he has to be the man.

hahah Can't be done? Explain why they haven't won since '04-05 when they stopped emphasizing on the defensive side of the ball.

He didn't say the team couldn't be beat, he said the offense hasn't really been stopped. Their defense has nothing to do with their offense.

I don't think its as much as the receivers as it is the guy throwing the ball, those guys can't catch the ball if it don't get to them,Brady can make any receivers look good.

Pay Wallace a buttload of money and next year let Brown walk, prefferably to the Ravens.

But depth at the receiver helps in their program. Same with the Packers. If you take away a receiver, you still have plenty of viable options. Rather than sinking all your money into one great talent, spread it across several good talents and your offense is better for it.

He is a speed guy, hasn't shown the ability to consistently make the tough catches. Not worth Fitz money at this stage in his career. Disappeared at times last year and faded down the stretch.
