08:07 AM ET 05.30 | Though he later backed off the idea, Doc Rivers finally admitted what many wondered: Should ailing Ray Allen sit out a game? [In a Tuesday interview], Rivers acknowledged the dilemma the team was facing with Allen, who has painful bone spurs in his ankles. ... "It's a tough call with him," Rivers said Tuesday afternoon. "We're trying to figure out a different minute rotation for him, maybe that will help him. We're even considering sitting him for a game, getting him a longer rest and then playing him, and then sitting him for a game. We don't know what the right thing is." Allen scored just 6 points on 1 of 7 shooting (including 1 for 4 beyond the arc) over 39 minutes against the Miami Heat in Game 1 on Monday.

Just stand at the corners, the ball will come to you

It might be best to continue on without him.

Should he change ends to guard anyone or just wait in the corners, while the Cs play defense and throw it to him? :)

Doc knows he should bench Ray ray. I don't know what the dilemma is?

how is this even a question?I watched the game and he was moving, running, shooting....granted he's not 100%, but what are they trying to turn him into paul pierce and wheel him out on a stretcher before the game ?Its the playoffs play ballgmafb

Who goes out and plays 39mins on so-called bum ankles? To me, it sounds like the Celtics are making up excuses for his poor shooting. They know damn well that they arent sitting Allen.

A bad Ray Allen is still better than anyone else they can put on the floor.

Celts better show up tonight and play like how their old counterparts in San Antonio have done it. They can't go down 2-0 to those arrogant morons in Miami...

QUOTE(#16):

Man, I hate Miami as much, if not more than anyone, and even I have to admit that I don't see this going the distance. This series will be over in 6 games TOPS. Boston may have 2 wins in them, but that's it.

I don't even see that....I think the Heat will take them down in 5.
