08:23 AM ET 05.30 | Barret Jackman has been through ownership changes, coaching changes and life changes in St. Louis. [When Albert Pujols signed with Anaheim], Jackman became the longest-tenured athlete among St. Louis' three professional sports teams. "St. Louis is such a great sports city," Jackman said, "it's fun to be able to say that." But this offseason, that distinction and Jackman's roots as a Blue face a potential end. He is wrapping up a four-year contract, giving the 1999 first-round draft pick 10 seasons with the organization, and will become an unrestricted free agent July 1. Jackman met with Blues general manager Doug Armstrong after the team's second-round playoff exit, and the two sides said they planned to meet again.

another "Wolverine" movie to come then?

I could see both the player and the organization deciding to part ways.

I'd hate to see him go. Good guy, solid D-man. Probably never lived up to the promise of his Calder season, but he's been a steady mainstay for a long time.

maybe my view as a musician is somewhat stilted, but I was always under the impression that those things should be able to be just "listened to"
Never impressed me musically

He is a guy who I'd take a flyer on if I was looking for a gritty back marker.

In fact if Stuart leaves Detroit for SJ, they should look at Jackman as a filler.

When I read about a "jackman" I thought it was a NASCAR thread.

They could do worse......Barrett has always been known for being solid in the locker room as well.

If it wasn't the day they brush their tooth a lot of people would be mad about that.
