Celtics irked by officiating

08:06 AM ET 05.31 | Boston's Game 2 loss left the Celtics to wonder and hope -- and, perhaps, seethe. [After the game], Danny Ainge stopped Joe Borgia, the NBA's officiating supervisor, in an attempt to get an explanation for the clear-path foul call against Mickael Pietrus. ... The Celtics were clearly left wondering about the officiating crew of Ken Mauer, James Capers and Tom Washington [Wednesday] night, as much as some tried to contain their chagrin. "Can you call it something else besides 50-50 calls?" coach Doc Rivers said in reply to a question about how the Celtics appeared to lose out on most of the calls that could have gone either way. ... "Listen, it is what it is. LeBron James took 24 free throws tonight and our team took 29."

Oh... grumpy, grumpy, grumpy! Let's just nick-name this series: "No Country for Old Men". KG knows it and so does PP. Sorry Rondo, jump ship!

You can complain but it is what it is. It is the worst officiated of the major professional sports in North America. That's not something anybody didn't know before the start of the playoffs.

That was a damn good game last night....for Rondo, that is! How the hell does your worst perimeter shooter drop 44pts 10ast and 8rebs and you still blow a 15-point lead and lose?

Just plain awful........

That last call with D-Wade and KG was a close call. I get that KG tried t purposely foul because Wade is a terrible shooter from the charity stripe, but Wade straight up Liu Kang'd the hell of him with that kick.

The fix is in. Stern wants the Heat in the Finals.

That was obvious before the start of the series.

Is there even a question about that anymore? Especially on a night when the bobcats "win" the lottery and a chance at being relevant again... Maybe, one day.

What are the Cs whining about now? This is getting crazy.

Blame your PG, Rondo, for opening his big mouth. REMEMBER???

He is the one that put the refs on notice that they planned on putting Lebron and Dwade on the ground. So guess what. They called everything. And I expect them to keep calling everything.

Now Doc is complaining about fouls being called.

Word of advice to the Cs:

STOP FOULING!!!

It's not good defense if you have to foul to defend. It's called FOULING.

Now that block Lebron had on Pierce. That was some good defense. :)

Then why didn't the Lakers beat OKC???

I am sure everyone would have loved to watch my Spurs dissect the Lakers tonight.

It was a home game, what did they expect. I actually think the officiating wasnt that bad, some missed calls sure but it comes with the territory.

I have to give Rondo credit. He did what I never thought I would see, hit consecutive 3 ptrs. No wait, he had a foot on the line.

But seriously, he deserves props for stepping up and shooting with confidence, because he surprised the WORLD last night with that performance.

Now if he doesn't do it Friday. I will be the first to call it LUCK.
