08:09 AM ET 05.31 | At the very least, the Cavs didn't slip to sixth in the draft lottery, which was where they could have fallen. "It's not something you can control," [Chris Grant] said. "We felt really good about where we were. And if we were fortunate enough to move up, great. ... We're in a good spot. We're in a really good spot." Being content to stay at No. 4 pick is another matter. Grant wouldn't hint, either, at whether the Cavaliers are interested in trading up. "I don't know if we know the answer to that yet," Grant said. "One thing we've talked about a lot with our ownership group is we like being aggressive. We'll look at a lot of different options once we get everyone in here, but I presume we'll be pretty active."

Should have moved on that faster... Otis Smith would have likely given Howard up for Jamison, unfortunately for you the Magic SHOULD hire a GM with half a brain this time...

It worked out well for them. Tristan Thompson played better than most people think.

It just depends on who they're targeting specifically and if that player will be there. Regardless, they're going to get a good pick at #4, this draft is deep.

Teams often worry about draft position, but most just need to do a better job of evaluating talent. Remember how the Blazers picked Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan? Washington picked his teammate, Mel Turpin, ahead of Charles Barkley. Carlos Boozer was a second round pick. Chris Washburn (what a turd) was picked in the top five by Golden State.

I'm pretty sure the reason Portland didn't take MJ in '84 is they dratfed Clyde Drexler in '83.
