08:15 AM ET 05.31 | After announcing earlier this month that Hoosiers-Wildcats was a done -- as in over -- deal, Indiana apparently made another pitch. [Indiana] re-opened negotiations with Kentucky on May 10 by proposing a compromise that would allow for two years of neutral site games followed by two games on campus sites. Kentucky rejected that proposal last week, however, according to a letter from Indiana athletic director Fred Glass to Kentucky athletic director Mitch Barnhart. The letter was provided to the Herald-Times pursuant to a public records request asking for all correspondence related to the series. In the letter, Glass detailed all of the negotiations in the attempt to revive the series since it was publicly declared dead on May 3.

The upper hand school in this discussing is Ky. The Cats are like other powerful teams they will play you at their place and maybe at a neutral site but not at your place. These teams realize you have everything to gain and they have everything to lose by playing at your place.

That sounds like SEC football OOC scheduling right there.

Just plain ole sec scheduling, no need to qualify the sport.

Had to leave due to SEC pressure for being the only one willing to play a good OOC team at away.

Well, they do want to count non-division games as OOC according to yesterday's thread

Why, exactly, are they opposed to H&H plus neutral? TV rights?

They have a nasty bite, and yes they like grub hunting in grassy places - armadillos are also culprits in nighttime grass gouging. I have shot several of each of those in my younger years in our yard, made Dad mighty happy, he hated them ripping up our yard/flower beds.

And I hope you have a pretty large trap, a regular varmint sized one won't work on a wild hog, too small.
