08:18 AM ET 05.31 | And yet this has nothing on Nick Saban's 105 letters earlier this spring. Charles Mack, a safety from Wesleyan, said he checked his mailbox last week and discovered a big package from Georgia Tech. It was really big. "I opened it up, and it had typed letters, hand-written letters, newsletters from the school ... 52 in all," Mack told the AJC. "I was shocked and surprised. I started reading all of them, and I still haven't finished." ... "I think it caught all of us by surprise," said Mack's father, Charles II, who played fullback at Georgia Tech from 1983-87. "For them to send 52 letters through the mail in one day, including a personal letter from each coach on the staff, it spoke highly of Georgia Tech."

GaTech needs to double that to compete with Saban...

Okay...so the only football threads today are about love letters from GaTech and and "independant" football team?

This blows.

Can't believe kids are still getting one item of snail mail in this day and age...much less 52? Do they even know how to open a real letter? Didn't think they even paid attention to anything that wasn't done electronically.

Saban is sitting in his office maniacally laughing at GT's effort.

Speaking of which, did GT graduate and get a real job? I haven't seen him around here in a long time.

52 hand written letters= 52 trips to the strip joint, 52 different "free" apartments, and 52 different cars to choose from.

but one letter from about 85% of Division 1 schools would trump 3000 letters from Ole Mess.

Good. If more people would use the US Mail it would be better for everybody.
