As Dominik Hasek contemplates a return to the NHL at 47, the prevailing sentiment around the league is that if any goalie could cheat the aging process, he could. "With Dominik Hasek, you can't count anything out," New Jersey Devils goalie Johan Hedberg said on the eve of his team's appearance in the Stanley Cup Final. "He didn't play last year, but he had (seven) shutouts in the (Kontinental Hockey League) when he was 45." Hasek was 43 in 2008 when he won his second Stanley Cup as Chris Osgood's backup in Detroit. He was 37 when he won the Cup as a Detroit starter in 2002. "It would not surprise me to see him come in an A1 or A2 role where he could play here and there," said Hedberg, 39.

Absolutely spot on. Nothing good could come of him getting back in the game as a player. Simply risking his reputation. I agree with BBBJ.............goalie coach is a no-brainer and could pay great dividends to a team.

The problem is, that it's hard to coach the way he played. When I was a younger and much more limber hedgehog, i played a very similar....style....In point of fact though, there is no style to it though. A lot a instinct, a little technique, a lot of testicular fortitude, and very little thought process.

I agree with you. His style is certainly not transferable. I was thinking more of emphasizing the mentail aspect of being ready to play, not dwelling on a bad goal, how to approach a certain team etc. etc.

A 67 year old man died of natural causes while getting lap dances at a Texas strip club on Friday night it has been revealed. Robert Gene got multiple lap dances during his time at the Red Parrot in El Paso, however according to KVIA when the time came to pay the employees at the strip club found him to be unresponsive. Meanwhile KTSM reported that while being entertained Gene suffered from a heart attack, which the strippers failed to notice.
