08:08 AM ET 06.01 | Just how close was Phil Jackson to taking his talents to central Florida? Well, it sounded like a good idea at the time. A fabulous idea, in fact. A stunning, bold, unique and risky idea. It was an idea so impossibly enormous that Dwight Howard might have bought into it and stayed in Orlando until his hair turned gray. For the past few days, Phil Jackson was interested in the possibility of joining the Magic's front office. Then, late Thursday afternoon, Jackson bowed out. Magic CEO Alex Martins was formally presented on Wednesday with a scenario involving Jackson by Sam Vincent, who played for the Magic and Jackson. "It drew some interest from Phil," Vincent said. "But in the end, Phil decided to go with another opportunity."

Surprise Surprise.
Phony Phil on the prowl again.
Boy has there ever been a bigger phony pretending to be a great coach? NEVER.
So why isn't Phony Phil in LA losing with the Lakers? I thought he was done coaching.
He is just trying to find another team on the verge of being good so he can plagiarize another coach's hard work.
Don't be fool by this Phony. He quit on MJ when MJ became washed up. He had Shaq traded when he became washed up. He quit on Kobe when Kobe became washed up. Now he is looking for the next superstar to leech on to.

I wonder did Red Auerbach ever have to listen to people calling him Ridiculous Red or something equally foolish. Last time I checked, you still had to coach superstars and get them to buy into a system. Here's a thought. If the Heat happen to lose again this year, Riley should dump Spoelstra and bring Phil in. Then Lebron can start talking about "not 5...not 6...not 7"

If you are Phil Jackson or any Hall of fame coach, will you pick a team that is on decline? Thank you. Why do you think Patrick Ewing wants to coach the Bobcats? Because he cant even find a headcoaching job in the NBA. Everyone would like to win. Even if not winning it all, the team should have some potential. What does the Magic have?

Not everyone is a Phony like Phil. I am not old enough to have watched Red coach, so that would be totally inappropriate to comment on his coaching skillz.
But just because you have a lot of rings doesn't mean you can coach. <Insert Phony Phil>
Larry Brown has ONLY one ring and he proved that he was a great coach by exposing Phony Phil and his stacked Lakers.
Riley knows Phil is a Phony why would he bring him in when there are other real coaches out there that he could hire. I have no idea why he tolerates Spo. I am sure he has his reasons.

I do not see a job out there that is attractive to him, not 1 at all.
The Magic job would have been the best available because there are pieces in place.
Phil is lookin to be a GM, but even then, I am not sure any look good.

God forbid that Phil would actually have to do some actual coaching.

Food for thought.
If the Spurs happen to lose this series, who should be blamed? TD? TP? MANU? or Wino Pop?
Clearly Pop had to know what was coming. Didn't the entire TNT, NBA TV and ESPN staff say that Dumb Brooks didnt have a clue and would have to match speed on speed.
Well dumb Brooks finally did it and what does Wino Pop do? He trotts Bonner out there for 23 damm minutes. Bonner is going to stop KD, RW, Harden??? Really.
Who was the first person off the Spurs bench?? Bonner
This fool even brings Anderson into the game. I almost forgot his jersey number he hasn't played in so long.
Where was MANU? Before the game got out of hand. Stephen Jackson??? Players that know how to ball??? Somebody needs to pry the wine bottle out of Pop's hand a get Bonner's YMCA playing behind out of here.

As soon as DH said he was leaving Magic, notice how Phony Phil booked an open ticket to fly to the next leech spot.
It's hard to tell right now because Dwill is on the fence about his plans. But as soon as things start to settled down it won't be long before he moves in.
