Kansas star Robinson would be at home in D.C.

08:10 AM ET 06.01 | After Marcus and Markieff Morris left Kansas, Thomas Robinson sure made the most of his star turn, and he's on the verge now of becoming a top-five pick in the draft -- possibly No. 2 or 3, the latter of which happens to be the Wizards' selection. Unlike Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant, who has repeatedly said he has no interest in playing so close to where he grew up, Robinson said after the lottery that he would actually have interest in playing in Washington. "That's where I started my dream at, in D.C.," Robinson said, "and to be able to come back home would mean a lot to me, because that's something that you fantasize in your mind about when you're little, bringing the city back to where it belongs."

While it would be a cool story, I hope he doesn't go there. He's got a pretty good head on his shoulders, but sometimes it's not always good to go back home. Well, better than to Charlotte I guess.

I see you have never been to Charlotte by that comment...MANY athletes and celebs live here in the off season bc of the weather and the city. Its actually a great place to live, this coming from a native NYer who has lived here the last 12 yrs
