10:23 AM ET 06.02 | Robert Griffin III's confidence level has been talked about a lot in the last few days. With a couple of weeks of OTAs behind him, he's becoming more comfortable in his role, and people are excited about it. Trent Williams is one of those people. Williams was on the Sports Fix yesterday to offer his insight into RGIII's command of the huddle and who is the best athlete on the offensive line. (Hint: He says it's him.) On RGIII: "I don't want to brag on him too much, but from what I've seen these last few weeks, it's kind of hard not to. I mean, he commands the huddle. I'll be in the huddle and joking around. When he walks in, he'll tap me and tell me to be quiet while he calls the play. That's impressive for a rookie to have that kind of command over a huddle."

LMFAO!!!! Maybe a better question is, who the hell is RGIII???? The kid is a rookie and hasn't done <hit as of yet!!! Sure he's good, but he has to prove it on the field, not in a huddle, but time will tell.

Yeah, but you have to take ownership of your team first.

Well, he hasn't been suspended yet for failing drug tests; maybe the kid told Trent he shouldn't be high in the huddle?

This is true, but IMO I don't think a rookie should/would do that until he has gained some respect from the Veteran players. Hey, by no means am I saying that RGIII won't be a good QB, I'm just saying that he shouldn't come in and start telling players to "shut up".

LOL, that could be, but still it's not RGIII place to tell a vet what to do.

At least until the kid has proven something. It's only June, what has the kid done as of yet???

Fair enough, but you gotta like the balls of a rookie taking charge like that, right? If I'm a Redskins fan, I'm lovin' life right now!

Yes indeed, if I were a Skins fan, I would be happy too. :-)

I'd wait until he won a few games before I got all excited

Yea cause those Vets have done so well for the team.

RGIII told him to zip it because he got high....................

June 2, 2012  12:35 PM ET

The QB runs the huddle. even if you are a rookie who hasn't yet thrown a pass or taken a hit in a NFL game. even if your team didn't trade a boatload of draft picks to pick you at the top of the draft. from all indications, a certain 6th round pick took command of the huddle in New England even when he was still backing up a guy who had played in pro bowls and had been picked #1 overall.

Wait a minute. . . tell someone to be quiet while you're talking is leadership? Hell, I tell people to shut up all the time. You must be looking at the next Abe Lincoln.
