I'm by no means a Mike Brown fan, but given the rest of the team's makeup, he had no choice but to play Kobe. This team was only going to go as far as Bryant took them.

This story would really be interesting if the Lakers weren't done.

How ironic the most important player on the team hurts them on the court (Ball Hogging), hurts their recruiting efforts, and he is killing them at the bank too.

I wonder have the Lakers even considered, maybe Kobe's heroics wouldn't be needed at the end of the game if he didn't shoot them out of the game in the first place.

Damn good point. For an example, look at the Spurs and how Pop rested his key players during the season.

Lets see: The Lakers are not a young team and the one young player (Bynum) is a pitiful somewhat talented egomanical child who takes everything zero percent serious. Unless moved, Kobe will never see another ring as a player. Look he's already being spoken as a guy who led his team to five rings. This is a supposed fact that I for one seriously dispute. How can you lead a team to a ring(s) and on three separate occasions a teammate is award the Finals MVP? This particular happenstance happen in succession three straight years. Ah but thats another story. Face it Lakers........you're not championship material!

Kobe is shooting something like 27% on game winning or game tying shots in the last minute of the game over the last 5 years...I wish I could remember where I read that because now the Laker/Kobe homers are freaking out trying to find a stat that counters that. Kobe is not the "clutch" player recently that he is made out to be

Have to agree with that....I don't understand at all why you don't use your strengths (Bynum/Gasol) more in the playoffs. That is poor coaching and game-planning
