10:43 AM ET 06.02 | Oklahoma State running back Herschel Sims has been kicked off the football team, and his high school coach said the dismissal was the result of a miscommunication with a teammate over money. The university announced the news in a release Friday, saying Sims was dismissed for a violation of team rules. On May 18, OSU linebacker Jeremiah Tshimanga reported to campus police that his ID was stolen and used to access his bank account, according to an incident report. Tshimanga said the suspect took his permanent-residence ID to Stillwater National Bank and withdrew money twice on April 27, first for $500 and then for $200. When he noticed money was missing from his account, Tshimanga told police he contacted the bank and through the bank's investigation he was able to identify the suspect. Tshimanga said he confronted the suspect and asked for the money back, and the suspect confessed but has failed to repay him, according to the report. "Based on what Herschel told me, there has been some miscommunication between him and his teammate," said Steve Warren, Sims??? coach at Abilene (Texas) High School. "At the same time, he indicated to me that he made a mistake in the way he handled that situation, the way he went about it with his teammate and things like that..."

NO ONE likes a thief. You can be an ****-hole but NOT a thief.

But he wasn't, like, stealing the money....he was going to repay it, like, later....

Abilene paper this morning quoted his HS coach a little more:

In a phone interview with the Reporter-News on Friday afternoon, Warren said he had spoken with Gundy about the incident.

"I just got off the phone with Coach Gundy and got the story from their perspective," Warren said. "The bottom line is Herschel made a big mistake and he's going to pay for it with a spot on the team at Oklahoma State.

"Herschel is a great kid and I'm very supportive of him and will continue to be going forward. But he made a bad mistake and he's going to have to suffer those consequences."

I am glad I don't have money in that bank. Most ID have pictures on them and I am wondering two things they must look alike and how did that linebacker have some much money in the bank.

Guess your definition of "much money" is different from a lot of people's. Uh, he has to have some to pay off bills, meals, rent, etc.

Ole Miss players only get water and biscuits, LOL?!
