08:17 AM ET 06.04 | Derrick Rose has proven doubters wrong in the past, and he'll have to again if he's to make any impact on the front end of the 2012-13 NBA season, all of which has the Bulls in a state of some flux. While the front office may seek out minimum-salary veterans at several positions, including point guard, a source tells CSNChicago.com that the Bulls will take a run at future Hall of Famers Steve Nash and Jason Kidd in free agency, trying to convince the former All-Stars that they will have an opportunity to win a championship, of which Kidd has one, from last season with the Mavericks, and Nash has none, in Chicago. According to the same source, the rest of the team's "core" is "safe."

Uuuh, nobody is doubting Rose. He has proved himself already. With the Bulls getting another PG, that means Rose doesn't have to be a full time PG. Less wear and tear for him = less injury.

I don't think the entent is to make Rose anything other than a PG. Getting another PG means that the Bulls will at least have a PG for next year.
Last I heard, the Bulls still don't expect Rose back at all for next season.....

What? Getting rid of Boozer and Hamilton?
BTW.....if they can bring in Nash, Boozer may actually become a 20 PPG scorer......

I just doubt he can stay healthy...so far he's proven me right. Hopefully he can shake that while he's still a pup. Would hate to see his career cut short or dimished bc of that

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Rose as a player. He's the best in the league at his position. If I was running the Bulls, his health is what would worry me. He have five different semi-major ailments last season.

He's proven that he's an MVP.
He's also proven that he's highly injury-prone.
His window of opportunity to win will be VERY short lived given his style of play.
Chicago is being smart looking for help at PG.
